Liz & Doug asked me to photograph an exciting time in their lives: their engagement. I was so moved by their connection and the way they lock into each other with such a trusting surrender. Their wedding is this August in the quaint village of Woodside. Woodside seems a world away from San Francisco, even though it's only about half an hour. It's quiet, woodsy, slow-paced and full of charm. The ceremony will be inside the idyllic Woodside Village Church. It's a church I pass all the time and I've longed to photograph a wedding there. It's sweet, timeless and understated. Can't you just picture how stunning it will be--especially with the amount of love Liz & Doug have for each other? Ahhh. Amazing. I am so sad that I can't photograph their wedding, (schedules, schedules) but photographing these moments was such a beautiful experience. Thanks so much for sharing yourselves with me. Persistence pays. Marvin really wanted to date Erin and followed her around asking: how about Friday...how about Saturday...how about Sunday? And it worked. They shared their first kiss at the drive-in about seven years ago and now they are planning their Nestldown wedding. I love their easy laughs and huge smiles. I can only imagine how they will beam this summer. :)

When Stacie & Tyson are locked into each other, I hear crickets. They are connected with such a bond that when I am in their presence, I can't help but gaze and smile. Love, love, love. For our getting-to-know-you session, they surprised me with adorable Mad Men-esque duds; I squealed. Don't you just want to gobble them up? I mean... really. I can't wait for their wedding.

(Just a little note: Couples often ask me if I style shoots or ask couples to dress a certain way. All I ever say is: wear what you love & be comfortable. Comfort is all that matters.)
