I couldn't wait to meet Katelyn & Andie. Katelyn & Andie met while working harvest in Sonoma. Andie proposed on a hillside, under a big oak that overlooked the vineyards. Their love story is one of those idyllic tales that engages all the senses and lends to great dreams: the stillness of wine country, the smell of harvest, artisan wine making, rolling golden hills, the dry heat you feel on your back, beautiful hues of that special light, a cool glass of something perspiring as you sip the sweetness... Ahh, it's blissful and a perfect prologue for these sweet romantics. Katelyn & Andie love old films, vintage bookshops, antiquing and travel. (We must have dished about Anthro and Man Shops Globe for about twenty minutes.) It seemed like a good idea to get to know each other a bit more among the pulp at Kyto. (Wedding images full of vintage goodness soon!)

I am a HUGE fan of spunk & rich personalities. I am tickled by wildness, oozing self-expression & zest. Ivette & Ben have these qualities by the baker's dozen. It was so great be a fly on the wall in such a heavenly place and enjoy their true essence as it unfolded--with such beautiful ease. Pure joy & entertainment. Love them and can't wait for their Headlands Center for the Arts wedding.

Thanks Flora Grubb!! Can't wait to see your wedding creations too!

When did you meet your love? Brooke & Barrett met in kindergarten. Kindergarten! Brooke actually remembers playing blocks with Barrett at that itty-bitty age. (I love this.) I wonder if all that kindergarten play time in their early interactions made a playful imprint of them. Spending time with them made me feel like their relationship was built on a foundation of sweet lightheartedness coupled with that great connection one has with one of their first buddies. They are adorable together...and settle disagreements with rock, paper, scissors. :)

The Giants are in the playoffs! Let's kick off the postseason with some GTKY images from AT&T Park. (That was tricky to type. I think I will forever call it PacBell.) First off, I tip my hat to the Giants' PR team because there is magic inside this park. Yes it's the design and location... but more importantly, it's the indelible players-- their huge hearts, smiles, spunk, joy and lovable personalities. (Just like Ali & Josh.) Even when empty, the magic dust remains. For about an hour, the three of us stumbled around in awe and a head-scratching stupor. Honestly, I don't think I was able to say more than a few sentences. Dumbfounded.
Now some history. Ali, Josh and their families adore the Giants...but there's more. Baseball brought them together eleven years ago. It all started in high school when Ali and a few friends kept stats for their baseball team. Ali became friends with one of the players--Josh--and soon developed a little crush him. Since she was the one with the car, she would often drive him home and they'd talk until the last possible moment--trying not to break curfew. Next May, they'll be married at the Napa Valley Country Club. Tonight, I'm sure they will be rooting for their team.

What great pictures, a beautiful day, and I know that Josh and Ali will never forget it. And I hope that they continue to be in the dugout together for the rest of their lives. Like the game they will have some wins and losses, but my prayer is that they will always remember they are teammates working for the same goal, and that they will win their world series of a great life together!
