Over the holidays I was chatting with my sister about my gratitude for the amazing people who allow themselves to be raw with me and my camera. It blows my mind. These gorgeous people are daring, honest and courageous in exposing their true selves. I'm not sure how well I would do if I were in their shoes so I'm constantly amazed by what I experience. The past few months in particular, a lot of women have knocked my socks off. Thank you everyone for your generosity and trust. I'm a lucky girl.

Love it Kate! It wouldn't be possible if you weren't so phenomenal yourself!

Today the sun came out for the first time in about two weeks. I guess I missed it because it felt great! Since I live in Northern California and it's nearly February, things are starting to bloom and my friends, the bees, are getting down to business. My love of the bee and the reason it's part of my photography business is because of my sweet parents who've been married 44 years! (Story here.) In celebration of this spring sneak peek, I curled up with thoughtful gifts from Megan & Chris. It doesn't get better than some sun, Sprinkles, a bee ring & napkin and some literary bee. High five and a big squeeze to Megan & Chris. Heaven!

You may have noticed my new "high five, lovelies!" category. Here's the scoop: As a fly on the wall at many weddings, I often delight in how incredibly awesome people are. This emotion/coolness/hilarity manifests in different ways. However, this is the place to highlight the radness of the people/clients in my life and the place for us to savor/laugh about it together.
Setting: It's mid-reception and we've been eying this hill all day. Finally as the fog rolled in, I asked Heather & Kurt: how about a roll down the hill? ...Done!

A great cup of Barefoot Coffee, some delicious scones from the adorable and delectable Babycakes bakebook and knock-me-over sweetness courtesy of Sabrina & Josh. A morning can't start much better than this. I love thinking about these newlyweds sitting at a little ceramics table choosing colors, painting & creating together. I bet it's their first pottery creation as hubby & wife! :)
Smooch to Sabrina & Josh!!

YAY!!!!! It looks pretty awesome, I have to admit LOL. The paintbrushes at the place we painted it were all large and strayed out, so we couldn't get a good detailed point. We tried, but I think it was a success either way!! We're so happy that you love it.
