One of my favorite places to enjoy an afternoon is at Scribe Winery. I don't usually bring my camera with me but this time a few of us decided to taste some wine and play with cameras. If you haven't been to Scribe yet, you are going to love it.

Elisabeth & James cause my knees to buckle. Still. They have so much joy, peace and love in them; they are a beautiful wonder. Can people be equated to art? Because truly, they are art. They inspire. They move people. The life they have cultivated is gorgeous. Their wedding was a life-changing experience for me and I don't think I'm the only one who felt this way-- there wasn't a dry eye among us. I am so grateful that I got to be there. (And Big Sur also happens to be one of my most favorite places on Earth. Sublime.)

Kim & Dan lived across the street from each other in college and almost never met. The day before Dan graduated and headed out of town, a group of friends got together for one of those great finale parties. There was a bonfire...and there was magic. The following years continued in the same dreamy fashion: weekends at a friend's beach house, a move to Chicago on a whim in the winter (and only knowing each other) where they slept in & frequented an ice cream parlor across the street. And to top it off, Dan told me he has a slew of songs that remind him of Kim: he listened to them on his way to work when he lived in Paris.
