I love it when a couple completely ignores me because they are so into each other. Here are the gorgeously in love Alyssa & Ryan whose lovely wedding will be in Nicasio this September.

Here you go, friends: more images from Chris and my trip in November. We had been wanting to do this trip since we graduated from college (too long!!) so when Chris finished up his Ph.D. (yay!!), it seemed the perfect way to celebrate. :)
I like to travel light and am a minimalist with my equipment so I settled on one camera body and two lenses: 24mm & 50mm. I left the flash at home (too big and bothersome) and opted for a high iso and long exposures. After all, these are just for fun!

(left to right, top to bottom: louvre; tuileries; eiffel tower; montmartre; sienna; arc de triomphe; eiffel tower; cite metro; london hotel; rome hotel; tuscany; arc de triomphe; cinque terre; seine; sienna; rome)

They are beautiful!!!!!!! I must know, how did you get such awesome portraits of you and your hubby? Did someone take them for you? When I travel I always find it hard to have people take photos with a DSLR, they freak out and don't know how to use them.
Thank you for sharing!

Kate..................even if you weren't one of my dearest and oldest friends, I would have to leave a message on this beautiful site to say that it actually brings tears to my eyes and chokes me up to look at the way you see the world. Your photography is astounding, once again I am speechless. The magic these photos show of your trip just make me think it as unreal, like a dream, but in fact you lived it. I love ya my little chickadee:} Hope to see you soon, xo-sa

The lovely Amanda & George...I swoon!! We didn't meet until their wedding day but Amanda & I went back and forth on email for about half a year, swapping ideas on venues. I had never been to Palmdale Estates, so I was excited for a new experience and had no idea what to expect...my favorite type of situation! :) [Note to future brides: choosing a photographer who hasn't photographed your venue before can actually be a plus. Fresh, creative ideas flourish.] Palmdale was the absolute perfect spot for Amanda & George and their style. I felt transported to another era--a time of big band, straight-up cocktails, sharp suits, fabulous conversation, enviable fashion and **incredible dancing**. It was a Mad Men wedding without even trying... and without the cigarettes.

Drumroll...Amanda designed these invites and they are incredible! (So much more than an invite, too; there's true storytelling inside. As Amanda would say, she's trying to bring back the art of the paragraph. One of the many things I love about her.)
