Erin & Nick (& their friends) are so expressive and ready to play. I laughed so much and was wowed by them over and over. Erin & Nick crafted a wedding that emphasized friends & family, lingering conversations, fearless dancing & lots of laughs. (Cornerstone was the perfect spot--love those strolling chats while the fog rolls over the hills.) It was also incredibly creative and true to them. (How about the door they used in the vineyard as an additional backdrop??) I could sense that they were present in every moment and connected with everyone there with a sweet ease, not rushed obligation. To boot, it was a beautiful, breezy day which added to the dolce vita ambiance. It doesn't get much better.

From our first chat, I felt an instant connection to Lauren & J.R. It wasn't just because they were calling from Jackson and talking about buffaloes and thinking about going to Yellowstone. (One of my favorite places on earth.) It was that we had a real chat. We talked about their lives and travels, their humanitarian work, the places they've lived and I learned who they are as people. And they are beautiful people. Thinking back now, I'm not even sure if we talked about their wedding. That is a good marker of connection. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to meet them and play. Last month, meeting them for the first time, I witnessed one big, juicy life moment. The kind that you walk away from feeling a bit lighter, energized and searching for great music to blast with the windows down on the ride home. Ahhh. I am so excited for their wedding at Healdsburg Country Gardens. (And I'm pumped to work with Sitting in a Tree.)

There are many things that strike me about Holly & Jon. Their wedding will be on an organic farm/ranch that has been in Holly's family for years. They wish they had chickens in their backyard. Jon loves Holly's natural "keep-me-on-my-toes funny". They constantly play pranks on each other and often tuck things under each other's pillow...like broomsticks(!!). ...Not what you would expect when you are jumping into bed. I love their silly nature and their relaxed but ready-for-action excitement and willingness to jump in the greatness of life. Zest!
We would like to send a huge thank you to Pie Ranch for letting us frolic in their wonderland. By the way, they are having their annual Farm-to-Table Feast on September 24th which includes dining amongst the crops and then a slice of pie & a good barn dance. AND Station One is preparing the meal. Sign me up.
