I laid out my love for Lauren & J.R. when I shared their Getting To Know You Session with you a few months back. Total love fest. But then there was their wedding... and their incredible family & friends. Whoa. To describe the day with words just doesn't suffice, but I'll give it a try: it was full of authenticity, personality, friendship, spunk, outrageous laughs and of course, love. That sentence definitely falls short. But if you were there, you would nod along with those descriptors while feeling a slew of fantastic goosebumps that I think will forever accompany thoughts of this celebration. Along with gigantic smiles & a little shake of the hips. This was a day full of juicy, juicy, spunky life. I think every day with Lauren & J.R. is probably like that.

Mendocino is one of those untouched CA areas where you can feel the soul of northern California. It's wild, woodsy, organic; the waters are rough and the ideas are outside the mainstream. It's a fantastic gem. Leah & Boo were married at a family home that is off the grid. There were so many personal touches that it felt like everyone beautifully stitched together this day with love and great care. There wasn't a guest to be found--they were all family. I felt that way too.

Joe says that he and Christina are one-third adventure, one-third ambition, and one-third cuddling. It really is a perfect description of them. Christina & Joe met their freshman year at Stanford and Joe called Christina at her home in Alaska all summer. He surprised her in Kyoto while she was studying abroad; they've grown as climbers together in Yosemite Valley; they've battled with the ocean while fishing the salmon season with Christina's family's fishing business (it was served at the wedding!); traveled Europe; grown through climbing accidents; are tackling grad school and they even biked many miles to their weekend wedding celebration in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The weekend-long adventure in the woods with their their family & friends provided an opportunity for everyone to tap into nature and beautiful quiet. Just as they wished, it seemed everyone was completely present and soaking up not just the surroundings and adventure but the one-third cuddling portion of Christina & Joe. We shared tears, hugs, giggles, smiles and felt soul-rocking love. Just as Christina hoped, everyone there was given an opportunity to sit back and acknowledge how good life is and how lucky we all are.
